Outreach Ministries
Who We Are:
Purpose Statement:
The Outreach Ministry’s mission is to fulfill the Lord’s commandment in Mark 16:15 “Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” We believe that the heartbeat of God is bringing unbelievers into a personal relationship with Him through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Therefore, we desire for our church to be a mouthpiece for spreading the gospel.
What We Are Doing:
Bus Ministry: The Bus Ministry’s mission is to fulfill the Lord’s commandment in luke 14:23, “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled”. Every Sunday and Wednesday children who would not regularly have transportation to attend church are being provided with transportation, as well as spiritual training and discipleship. With exciting promotions, games, and Bible Lessons each week, we continually endeavor to reach out to our community and see children accept Christ as their Savior.
Monday Night Visitation: Each Monday night, a different Sunday School Class meets at the church to receive a visitation assignment. Then, visitation teams are sent to their specific destination for that night. Types of visits include: Hospital, Soul‐winning, Encouragement, Shut‐ins, First time visitor follow up, etc.
CCW: “Carrying the Cross to the World”, is our door‐to‐door visitation program that focuses on presenting the Gospel to each home in the New Bern area. CCW takes place on the last Saturday of each month except for the winter season. It begins at 10AM and usually last for a couple of hours. Whether you feel comfortable presenting the Gospel, or would just like to tag along, your presence will be greatly appreciated.
City Assault: Beginning this year, our church will partner with five other churches to present the Gospel in four different cities. Four Saturdays during this year have been set aside to fulfill this task. On these days, our goal will be to knock 2500 doors and present the good news of Salvation.
